Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

It's impossible to answer your hypothetical without you giving us a year-by-year breakout of GPAs (both science and cumulative).

So I’m aware of how an upward trend in GPA is an indication of how you’ve improved throughout your undergrad years so that got me wondering if a downward GPA trend is a red flag. Let’s just say a student started with a 4.0 and finished with a 3.7 with a downward trend in her GPA. How would ADCOMS view this?

That's a downward trend only in the mind on neurotic pre-meds.

4.0 -> 3.1...THAT'S a downward trend.

And yes, doctorcoctor was being sarcastic. It doesn't travel well over the electrons.

Oh gotcha, thank you all so much!

I’m not good with jokes...might be because I’m neurotic lol

4.0 to 3.7 is not a downward trend with science-related coursework. That's still Dean's List. You do get a cushion when it comes to having "good grades."
