I agree, and also ask his advice on success in med schoolI think you should meet with the Dean and express your interest in the IS school while mentioning your OOS acceptance. Dean might get you off the waitlist!
Then don't mention tbe other accept, just ask his adviceThanks for the reply. So are you sure it won't be a red flag for me to still meet with the Dean?
I'm kinda worried my meeting will not have any traction considering the Dean will know I'm already accepted to a med school...it's not like he can say, "Improve your MCAT, etc" because he knows I won't be following that recommendation. I also don't want to come across as ungrateful, greedy, or desperate or as if I'm wasting the Dean's time that could be better spent advising an applicant who hasn't been accepted and needs input for next cycle.
Please lmk if I am overthinking this. I want to keep the appointment and meet the Dean, because I love this school! But I don't want to do this if it can jeopardize my chances on the WL.
How I (By Grace) Got into Medical School | Olin College relevant readNo I am not planning to reapply. I will go to the OOS school if I don't get in to the IS school. But I really prefer the IS school! Which is why I am debating about meeting with the Dean...I want to come across as sincere though, not desperate. I posted this thread to check if meeting wth the Dean about feedback (after I've already gotten an acceptance elsewhere) could have a negative impact on my WL chances.
Any tl;dr?
