Historically and reputation wise definitely. Though personally I’m not a fan of Miami/South Florida and Gainesville is a typical rural southern college town with not much else right around it.

USF’s reputation is improving and In an arguably great location. Doesn’t have the name recognition of UF or UM though but in my opinion could give you similar clinical training/exposure.

For what it's worth, in US News:
UF #43, UM #52 (tied with USF)

Between UF and UM which one would you think is better?

I don't think it's about one objectively being "better" than the other. They are each different.... public vs private... rural college town vs large south florida city, etc...

Both turn out great doctors. If I had to go back and had acceptances to both UF and UM I would go to UF. Personally I just don't like south Florida region, especially Miami. I had friends and family go to UM, nothing specifically against the school but I don't want to pay private UM prices AND deal with living in Miami. Not a big fan of Gainesville either but I'll take it over Miami.

But this is a very personal decision and someone else may absolutely hate north Florida and LOVE Miami so to each their own. Both are good schools.

Who cares, it’s Florida. Won’t be there is a decade anyway. Although, they say if you close your eyes and chant “Pabst, Pabst, Pabst” Florida man will appear in your student run free clinic with a fresh new ailment from his adventures.

This is just as cringeworthy as hearing my relatives in Texas say that it was particularly hot this year because of global warming....
Lol I mean, global trends...a single year being hot does not make global warming nor does one season of increased hurricanes. But several decades of trend lines...?
