Changing/postponing a date without really good circumstances will make adcoms think that you are not really interested in their school (in my opinion). So pick a date and stick with it. If the other school schedules you on the same day then you can ask them to schedule another time.
Actually, all U.S. schools have the system in which only a small percentage of interviews overlap with other schools. Another word, go ahead and schedule one, and don't worry about other interviews (you didn't get them).
 
You should be fine. I just had to change an interview invitation because they scheduled me while I would be on a cruise but they had a range of dates to select from. Imo the earlier you have your interview the better your chances could be as well. Getting an early interview means they saw your app and liked it right away. So try and go to them on the earliest date!

i'd recommend choosing a date as far out as they allow
then hope that you are lucky enough to receive interviews in nearby (or same) cities so you can hit as many schools as you can in one trip
honestly, the process is so unkown that you cannot even be sure when (or if) you will receive invites nearby

This! Southwest is a great option! People that shop at Costco really know where the deals are at!
 
Just be careful about rescheduling a pre-dec interview after December. I got my interview at Midwestern revoked because they knew I was waiting to see if I had any acceptances from other schools before deciding to attend their interview 🙁

Tufts told me "We do not do post December interviews" when I tried this lol
