That sounds academic to me.For secondaries, can the non-academic challenge be a topic related to academics? For example, I am thinking about writing about teaching a chemistry class and seeing them improve. My "challenge" would be that I initially taught them ineffectively but then I changed my teaching style and their grades improved.
Stray on the safe side. Pick something familial, from volunteering, from work, yadda yaddaFor secondaries, can the non-academic challenge be a topic related to academics? What you described is purely in the realm of academics (not even just peripherally related).can the non-academic challenge be a topic related to academics?
That was my interpretation of the prompt, as well.I'm going to go against the crowd and say that the way I interpret this prompt is that the adcom is looking for something not related to your academic experience as a student. If your response is about a job you held teaching chemistry then to me it is not "academic". Being able to self-assess and change the way you do your job is a good topic for a secondary prompt of this kind.
Read the very bottom line of my sig lines. For secondaries, can the non-academic challenge be a topic related to academics?
