Hi everyone, I'm applying in the 2019-2020 cycle and wanted some feedback about making my school list early. I got my bachelor’s in nursing. Worked one year in a big academic center and currently working (almost a year) in a nursing home in a really rural underserved area (town of <4000 residents). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you mean you’re applying next year? We are in the middle of the 2019-2020 cycle right now.

I am applying this cycle. I am already verified and I have pre-witten many secondaries. Thanks

OK, sorry, I was confused by your reference to an “early” school list since it’s getting to the point in the cycle where applicants are starting to be late.

I’ll have to defer to someone else on your school list, but once you have it, you should be prepared to submit ASAP - like within the next couple days - and turn in all your secondaries by the end of the month. For what schools have you already pre-written secondaries?

OK, thanks, that will be helpful for the person making your list (I don't know enough about medical schools overall to really help much in that regard). What I said above only applies for MD, by the way - I understand that the DO cycle runs later. Good luck.

You could receive interviews at these MD schools with your stats:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Albany
New York Medical College
Seton Hall
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
George Washington
Georgetown
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Medical College Wisconsin
Loyola
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
TCU UNT
Loma Linda
You have a good DO list.
