Worth applying if you know for sure you want to go into primary care and receive the NHC scholarship that pays for pretty everything

They’re just reaching into your wallet. I would avoid unless going HPSP on cost alone... it’s just absurd

The debt burden is lower than expected because:
- Many students are children of physicians and/or have other financial advantages
- About a dozen or so in each class have HPSP
- Many students live with family and don’t have to take out extra loans for cost of living

Yeah I agree it's annoying but I still think it would be worth it to go MWU over one of the new DO schools.
Yeah but no one is in that position. There are plenty of “established” DO schools that will get you the same degree at a fraction of the cost. Not worth it. If you can get into ccom, you can really get into any other DO school.

>no one is in that position
Idk I could see it happening easily enough. All it takes is a couple of bombed interviews from a borderline applicant that didn't get a ton of interviews in the first place
But the stats for ccom/azcom are essentially the highest of any osteopathic school. If you got an II from ccom, you probably got one from just about every DO school you applied to. You’d have to turn down other interviews or just not apply to most other schools to be stuck between the most and least competitive DO schools.
