ADD:
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CalHS is too new and appears to be too limited in rotations sites.
Do NOT retake. CARS gets cut the most slack.I'm considering retaking the MCAT due to my CARS score, would you advise against doing so?
Did you end up applying to any DOs or have any luck with MD schools ?I'm considering retaking the MCAT due to my CARS score, would you advise against doing so?
I am applying next cycle! And I'm kind of set on MD schools at the moment.Did you end up applying to any DOs or have any luck with MD schools ?

Get more clinical and non clinical volunteer hours, do a good job on your PS and secondary, submit good LORs, and apply broadly. Add more to the list above. I think 30 will do the job. Your MCAT and GPA are only slightly below matriculated average. You should get some love. good luck.I am applying next cycle! And I'm kind of set on MD schools at the moment.

You have decent stats. Improve your ECs. Believe in your self, chose your school wisely and put in a good application. Set your compass on MD and don't stray from it. Fair Winds and Following Seas. You got this.Applying next cycle

are my hours low in those categories?Get more clinical and non clinical volunteer hours, do a good job on your PS and secondary, submit good LORs, and apply broadly. Add more to the list above. I would disagree with the post you are replying to. Your hours are fine (box checking but fine) and you live in a good state. In my non expert opinion there is no need to apply to 30+ schools, better save money for interviews and polish your secondaries. Go for some 20 MD and 4-5 DO schools just as a back up. You have a good application and should not have problems with getting in. Good luck.are my hours low in those categories?
