Get around 20 hours of primary care shadowing, see if you can maybe get a poster out of that research (minimal boost), maybe start a clinical job after you graduate in December (congrats on almost graduating!), other than that your ECs are pretty set!

Do you have any hobbies or anything that you can talk about to make you stand out? Mountain climbing, aquaponic gardening, dance, flautist, Avid karaoke-Er?

Hm gotcha, thanks guys. I don't really have any special hobbies though. Also, how important are gap year activities?
Not that important if your application is already up to snuff (which yours is). You don’t need a special hobby, and they don’t really matter so far as competitiveness. They only really come in to play as conversation starters “what do you do outside of medicine.”

It is honestly such a great way to kill time in the interview, leave a good impression (you get to teach them AND show that you are a human outside of this process), and maybe connect with the interviewer.

As an example, an interviewer at one of my schools asked “what are your hobbies” and I got to aquaponic gardening which led to 5 minutes of me talking about growing all my own food and sustainability from a holistic perspective, which led to her talking 5 minutes about the class she teaches called “food as medicine”. So they really flowed into each other. So, just an example, but having hobbies or activities outside of Premed REALLY can help you in your application.
