Hi,

I did 60 hours of volunteering at a place, but the volunteer coordinator, to put it nicely, was very very bad at his job. He only logged 20 of my hours. He was eventually fired. The issue is, I have sort of been feuding with the new volunteer coordinator because she won't log any of my 40 missing hours because she can't verify I actually did them. I now live 600 miles away from this volunteer location.

On my AMCAS, I put this activity as 60 hours because that's how many hours I actually volunteered, but put the contact information of the new volunteer coordinator. Was this the right move, or could it come back to bite me with verifications post-acceptance?

I have another clinical vol EC that's overestimated by 100 hours (not purposely deceitful). I'm afraid my application will bring red flags.

Any reassurance or advice would be nice.
How many total hours are we talking about here? Listing 1200 hours instead of 1100 is unlikely to raise any flags. However listing 110 hours when you only did 10 will make me go :eyebrow: .

Volunteer coordinators rarely have accurate logs. At some places it's a miracle if they can even confirm a name. So you will most likely be fine.
