Given that you have a 98% in the class, I would generally recommend finishing it. I would only drop the class if it is impinging materially on your ability to do well in your other classes. A W from the CC is certainly not the end of the world, but why take any hits if you are doing well.

Agree with the above. Consider retaking physics at a school your school will accept. Having a double major, I had to take physics over the summer to meet all of my requirements for my majors. Chair of of physics initially refused to accept credit. I went to the Dean and explained and he overruled . Bottom line, make sure your college will accept credits wherever you go.

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a predicament and would appreciate any advice/insights.

I am currently a senior at a 4-year private university. I enrolled in community college course (physics 1) during my winter break so that I would have room in my schedule to take a molecular biology course and complete my biology minor. I planned on taking physics last summer at a CC (as it was required for my major), but was presented with a research fellowship opportunity that I could not pass up. However, my college is not accepting the transfer credit for my physics class, since it overlaps 2 weeks into the spring semester at my home institution. This means that I will have to take physics at my home institution and drop my biology minor.

My concern is that I will have to withdraw from my course at the CC, which may look questionable on a med school app (but I currently have a 98% in the class). Plus, I have already withdrawn from a class in my freshman year. Should I finish the course at the CC (although it won’t count towards my degree) or take the W?
It is an SDN delusion that W's a bad thing, somehow even worse than are worse than Fs. There's a reason they exist, and your situation is one of them.

Is this physics a prereq for the bio course or needed to graduate?
