This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
No ones gonna check. You think they are gonna check one random volunteering experience out of the thousands upon thousands they read? They don’t have time for that.

I'd reach out to the student affairs office of your school to see if they're capable of verifying that on your behalf since you were in a leadership position.

Sorry if my post was confusing -- I wasn't in a leadership position. Just a volunteer.
No worries, I'd list someone who was in a leadership position during that time then. Sounds appropriate if theres no other records (ie the organizations central office?).

Trust me I was in a very similar situation a few years ago and it worked out fine for me.

Yeah, if that's the best you can do and you have made a good faith effort and you are being honest you're okay. It is the outright lying that gets you in trouble.

Yeah. As far as I know: most schools don't do much on the verification angle. If they do verify it they'll call a few places and dig deeper if they find outright lies or what they think are outright lies. They know that things like this happen. What are they going to do, rescind an acceptance over what might be a lie but could easily be the God's honest truth?
