Most schools will require you to give parent tax information even though it is stated as optional on FAFSA

i'm nearly 30 and file my own taxes. my parents are wealthy. will this disqualify me from receiving need-based grants/scholarships/aid from medical school?

schools will require/suggest that you send in parent info.

Should a school beg for money from its donors so it can give it to a qualified, financially independent student who has wealthy parents or should that philanthropy go to a qualified, financially independent student whose single mom is a motel maid? Make an argument to support one candidate or the other.
