1. Strong, as long as you add some more middle tier schools. Looking at your school list, it's surprising that you were only able to get one interview, but I'd add quite a few more middle tier schools to boost your chances.
2. You have a good and very well rounded application, so there's many things you could do. You could do academic/clinical research, and really aim to get publications, as those serve as pretty meaningful updates during your application cycle. If that doesn't interest you, you could lean more towards the service side, and continue your work teaching in underserved areas. Finally, you could try to find a job as an EMT.
3. I don't think these things necessarily hurt you, and I doubt including/excluding these would make or break your chances of receiving an interview even if they did.
4. Honestly, I have no idea. It probably can, but I can't say for certain.

I am surprised you were not interviewed at your state school. You are fine to reapply but apply more broadly and realistically. I suggest these schools:
New Mexico
Mayo (both schools)
TCU-UNT
Kaiser
California University
NOVA MD
USF Morsani
Miami
Eastern Virginia
Virginia Commonwealth
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
Seton Hall
Hofstra
Einstein
New York Medical College
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Tufts
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
Cincinnati

I'm really surprised you didn't get more interviews and an acceptance. Your application is really strong. I think your list was a little top heavy and you had bad luck.

Thanks for the responses! I know applying in consecutive cycles can be risky... The last thing I would want is to apply too soon and lose even more time, money, and a solid MCAT score. I feel I have done a decent amount throughout the cycle to warrant a consecutive reapplication but I am still worried I would receive the same results. I want to pull the trigger for sure, but I'm scared hah!

Sorry to ask again, but I would love to hear your thoughts @Goro @gonnif @LizzyM and anyone else who is silently scrolling 🙂

I'm curious about the quality of your LORs because I'm not understanding why you didn't get more love.

Your GPA sank you for a list so top-heavy. Reapply with a broader net and I think you're golden. Would include the less stats-focused t20s like UCLA and Mayo again, though

I'm less sanguine than Faha, given your GPAs.

I suggest:
Mayo (maybe)
Case (maybe)
U VM
U Toledo
Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Seton Hall
MCW
Loyola
Emory
BU
Hofstra
Tufts
Oakland-B
Western MI
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Nova MD
U NM
Any DO program. I can't recommend Nova, Wm Carey, BCOM, ICOM and LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CalHS is too new and appears to be too limited in rotations sites. UIW refuses to post their Boards scores, which is fishy.

You may have weak LORs.
Also, rewrite all essays and have multiple eyeballs vet them
As repeat applicant, you need some DO schools as insurance.

Thank you everyone for the responses! Knowing myself, I'll teeter back and forth on this decision for a few more weeks before deciding to go for it. So thank you @Faha, @Goro, and @efle for the school lists, they will come in handy when I finally pull the trigger.

I appreciate your suggestions @MedSchoolTutors. I'm thinking I'll take your advice on making use of my EMT certification. Otherwise its just an empty credential. And of course, I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed for an eventual publication.

I also plan on ~tactfully~ asking my pre-health advisors about questionable LORs. The possibility of having poor letters has definitely crossed my mind numerous times through this cycle, although I still think it is unlikely. People are just crazy impressive it seems haha

Finally, if it was just poor luck, hopefully 2020 will bring more fortune (although that is questionable given the current trajectory of the year...yikes).

Can you call UNM and ask them for feedback. Because that is pretty serious if your state school UNM did not interview you. Ask if they have any feedback. Then (if they are open to it) ask if they would recommend new LORs. Can you get your college premed advisor to review your LORs and ask outright if you should replace any of them.

I have reached out to them via email to set up a time to speak with someone who might be knowledgeable about my application but I haven't heard back from them. I'm thinking I'll give them a few days to respond before I call and pester them again.

I've done the same for the other schools I applied to. So far, 3 will be willing to speak with me in late April.

And yes I will definitely ask my premed advisor to comb through my letters. I really don't think anyone would have said anything detrimental but you never know... maybe the lack of a certain statement was enough to leave a negative impression. The joys of LORs ahha

@Mr.Smile12 Sorry to resurrect an older thread but I have seen some of your input on this site and was wondering if you have any suggestions on how I should proceed. Thanks in advance!

Apply early. Network with the schools you have high on your list. Hope that it won't be necessary if the hail-mary from Mayo comes through. Sometimes screeners just don't see your value, so it might fall back on a new PS and people looking through your secondaries.

This is a good list to add for sure. Strategic and schools listed here are more promising as far as II
