A lot depends on where you applying, but with your 3.5 GPA and scores you should get interviews at some schools. I would only consider a retake if you are applying to a highly competitive school. It is always best to get in touch with the schools and discuss your situation. The 16 in Math is ok and so is the 18 in Reading. Most schools understand the challenge of the Math section and reading at 18 IMO is fine. You did not receive any low scores, your science scores are fantastic.

Took my DAT in feb.
PAT/ QR/ RC/ BIO/ GC / OC/ TS / AA
19 / 16 / 18 / 20 / 24 / 22 / 21 / 20

My main concern is my relatively low QR score and somewhat low-ish RC score. The 16 in QR doesn’t look too good imo, and i’ve heard that RC perhaps one of the most important scores that dental schools take great consideration for.

cGPA&sGPA are ~3.5. i’m not too worried about those. My EC’s and Volunteer work are up to par as well- not worried about that either. (this is not really a “WAMC” type of post, not really sure what kind of post it is, haha i guess i’m just looking for really raw and honest opinions).

Advice? Should i consider a retake? I mean, what should i say about that QR score? I know i’m going to get grilled for it during my (hopeful) interviews haha. As for the RC, it’s raises a yellow flag as well, but i’m curious to see what you guys have to say about it. RC was in fact one of the biggest surprises and (lowkey) disappointments. I was doing very well on the practice exams and i even felt confident throughout the entire DAT RC section, so i’m not sure on where i really messed up on. Any advice? I know i’m asking a ton of questions; i am a bit overwhelmed.
Many thanks!

Don't be discouraged. You can definitely get in with those scores but like Nancy said, apply wisely. And if you don't get in, only then would I consider retaking the DAT. Good luck! 🙂
