Honestly, a single P/F won't make adcoms bat an eye. However, if you think you can get an A in the course, then an A- isn't necessarily bad. Between a P and an A-, I really don't think a P "looks" better. I'd expect adcoms to be much more understanding towards circumstances in this semester given the situation.

As for your second question, I have no idea. This is uncharted water for everybody.

OP. exactly what are you doing with "virtual volunteering"?
 
That’s the thing, I don’t know what opportunities they’ll offer cause I’m waiting for the email. What activities do you suggest so I don’t waste my time?
Organize blood drives
Check in with your local houses of worship
Do nice things for the elderly
