This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Reading through threads from last year, it seems like it's on a good faith basis. School B might drop you from the waitlist if they see you've CTEd somewhere else. CYMS Tool may have made changes this year that allow School A to identify which students that are CTE are holding onto a WL spot (they only got the # of students last year but not who they were) and School A may choose to drop your acceptance. CTE is enforced by schools and not the AAMC, iirc

They can enforce it by rescinding acceptances for those that did use CTE. There is no way to know if students removed themselves from WL or not. Just good faith I guess. I'm assuming if another school sees that a student has CTE than they won't offer acceptance, but it is technically allowed.
Let's try again: we cannot run a report that identifies accepted candidates who are PTE, CTE or are waitlisted elsewhere.
We get a report that gives us the number of multiple acceptances and the number of accepted students holding a WL position elsewhere.
These accepted students are not identified as individuals. This has been specifically confirmed by the AAMC.
