There's still Step 2, which will continue to be scored.

My guess: for schools with tiered clerkship grading, you will need to do well on clerkship grading and well on step 2. For schools without clerkship grades: you will need to do well on step 2

It's still Yale and students are still expected to write a thesis... based on the written application, the letters and the interview, program directors will be able to determine the qualities of the applicant and whether the applicant is a good fit for the residency program.
