Short answer: no.

Longer answer: You're not the first computer science student they've gotten an application from, you should give them a little more credit. Also, would you specify why each position ended on a resume? Same concept here; there's no need to say why it ended. If they're curious about a specific activity, they'll ask you during your interview.

I have had many short work/volunteer experiences (less than half a year) that ended due to normal reasons, i.e. a summer internship ending, a one-quarter or one-semester paid research contract ending, relocating to another state or country.

On AMCAS, is it worth explaining in the description box why each position I held ended or would it be a waste of space? I am slightly worried that adcoms may not be too familiar with someone of a computer science background and think that I'm quitting all of these short work experiences left and right. Thank you.
Does the app ask for why positions ended?

If not, don't bother.
