Honestly, email your dean and administration at your school directly- considering how much tuition you're paying, your voice should matter. Putting this on a forum can only help so much. I have the same concerns, it's getting bad and dental students/faculty simply don't care anymore

Request a leave of abscence for a year if you’re that concerned about it.

It’s a tall order to demand a school get a worldwide virus under control.

Haven’t you been vaccinated yet? Your entire career is going to be blasting mouth bugs into the air.
 
I agree with the other posts about contacting the school and voicing your concerns. I also know COVID probably isnt going to be completely over anytime soon, so it will have to become one of those things you just learn to deal with. Im not sure of your vaccination status, but if you are not vaccinated yet i would do so ASAP and wear PPE at all times (even though masks are pretty much required at this point indoors especially in a school)

By now you should know, that none of the measures you demand happen work in preventing you from contracting covid virus. Get vaccinated, live a healthy lifestyle and your chances of dying are no higher then from those of flu.
And stop watching CNN
 
That’s funny. I guess tests at home sounds way nicer but life doesn’t stop so best you can do is vaccinate 70%+ of your student body and hope for best. We’re talking millions and millions of money they can’t wait for one class to not graduate and ADA def doesn’t care you gotta get requirements done.
I guess other people were right youre in the professions of creating aerosols.
It is what it is. Everyone gotta deal one way or another and move forward
 
I gotta completely disagree with all of the comments above lol.. the original poster talked about how students are knowingly coming to school with covid and the school blatantly ignoring it. That isn't "our profession," in fact it's the opposite of what we're supposed to be doing as healthcare providers. It's common courtesy (not to mention the ethical and you know, decent human being thing to do) to not endanger other peoples health. Also, a lot of students live with immunocompromised family, or have underlying conditions. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being concerned, especially when we're in a wave approaching the peak of last year's wave. Voice your concerns to your school, your concerns are valid.
