Okay, how really bad is getting an A- in Biochem?
My prof literally said she teaches Biochem like a 400-level class (Biochem is a 300-level course in our school) so it's more "in-depth," but I don't think that can be explained anywhere on my application.

Will adcom raise eyebrows when seeing this grade on my transcript?

I'm raising my eyebrows already with seeing this question.

R. E. L. A. X.

If it comes up in an interview or something (highly unlikely), just explain what happened (honestly, without making excuses) and what you learned from it.

Thank you, and will do-- I def learned a lot from that class

My prof is going to write me a rec so hopefully she can "vouch" for me? I worked really hard for that class and she knows it
