If the school uses a rubric then you may b filtered out with the 2.7. Typically the rubric criteria is higher in the beginning and they may filter down later in the process to capture the outliers.

How do schools screen? I noticed that most of the DO schools that I’m applying to are saying that a minimum 3.0 cGPA is required. My uGPA is 2.7, however, I have a high SMP GPA along with a 4.0 post-bacc (only 12 credits). Is my SMP apart of my cGPA? Genuinely I’m just wondering.
No, your SMP GPA does not count towards your undergraduate GPA. Only your postbac GPA goes toward it. You will be screened out if the school has a cutoff at 3.0 but some schools do say to reach out if you believe that will happen if you have a good masters gpa.
