Writing about same experience is fine but I would focus on different aspects of said experience in both essays if possible

1) you are allowed but I would definitely focus on different competencies

2) the way you describe your possible take for the diversity essay doesn't really resonate with me. Describe what you mean.

Thank you for that link, it's really helpful in breaking things down. I believe the two topics I mentioned can tie into interests/perspectives for dance and leadership/perspectives for my work. If I try to cater the topic/competencies to those attributes, do you think they'd work for the essay?
