Having a role where you’re predominantly answering mail is likely not something you’re as excited about. If you would still like to be part of the White House environment and be in DC, you can do it.Okay, now there's been a change with this internship. Instead of working on health policy, they're planning to have me respond to the public's letters in their office of correspondence (no actual policy work). Is the prestige of the White House worth it to take a semester off to answer mail? I'm thinking "not really", but the networking opportunities and saying I'm a white House Intern might still be worth it.
