Thank you. I should have noted, I grew up in CA and my family still lives there. That's why I was applying to all the UCs, even those that don't really take OOS.You have several state public schools on your list that admit very few non residents with no connection to the state . For example, UC Davis admitted only one non resident per year in some recent years. U Washington admits less than 1% of applicants who are not from states in the Northwest. I suggest these schools with your stats:
U Wisconsin
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
U Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Cincinnati
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
New York Medical College
NYU Long Island
Rochester
Pittsburgh
Jefferson
Drexel
Temple
Vermont
Tufts
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Wake Forest
Miami
USF Morsani
Kaiser
California University
UCLA
UCSF
USC Keck
30 schools should be adequate as long as you do not waste applications on schools such as UC Davis and UC Irvine.Thank you. I should have noted, I grew up in CA and my family still lives there. That's why I was applying to all the UCs, even those that don't really take OOS.
Is 30 schools a good number to be applying to?
Your lack or research would limit your chances for interviews at the most competitive schools. You could try schools such as Northwestern and Washington University and see what happens. Thanks for the help @Faha
Another question- in the list you provided, only 3 schools have a higher median MCAT than mine (Hofstra, Michigan, Mount Sinai). Should I add a couple more reach schools? Do you know of any reaches that don't emphasize research as much, or does my lack of research basically rule out top schools?
