If you add DO schools, I would include VCOM, of course. Research is really important at VT-C, so hopefully the additional project will help you (but I'm not sure). Have you done any shadowing closer to "home"? I give you props for going to the US/Mex border and helping with clinical studies in Africa, but what do you really want to do as a physician? Somehow I get a picture you want to be more internationally oriented with global health... in which case, you haven't made a convincing enough profile for GW to take a chance at you (it seems).

There's no shame to not apply and figure out what you really want to do in medicine. That's what shadowing and career exploration is about, after all. 🙂
