Anything can happen with your in-states (WMed???), but I would be extremely surprised with OOS unless there is a real mission fit. You must add DO schools, including MSU DO, Marian, and Midwestern-Chicago unless you aren't urgently trying to get into medical school by next year.

super hesistant to apply DO because i know i want to go into a competitive specialty. i would be willing to not get in anywhere.
Your clinical experience does not suggest you are gunning for a competitive specialty.

Can you elaborate, "I would be willing to not get in anywhere"?

my clinical experience is in a competitive speciality? i would be willing to not get into DO and have to wait again until next year.
Give us more details. You have a slash between medical assistant and lead surgical assistant without breaking down your 3000+ hours.
Also radiology 25 hours < IM 50 hours. Details will help us.

If you don't want DO, you should spend all your money and focus completely on retaking the MCAT instead of trying to get in with a subpar application. Your effort to try to get into MD with glaring weaknesses reveals desperation and stubbornness that no medical school wants. A willingness to run head-first into unnecessary debt is also foolish.

What competitive speciality? You don’t mention any competitive speciality.
If you absolutely aren’t interested in attending a DO school next year, don’t even apply to any. That would be silly.

Understand that at some time you might have to consider DO schools if you are really set on medicine as a career. Some schools average multiple MCAT scores. Your average is 498. That is lethal for MD schools.
Do you have test taking anxiety? That can be fixed. Maybe check into that possibility before you apply anywhere. As a doctor you will be taking huge , life defining tests for the rest of your career. You should figure this out sooner than later.

Given that sub-500 MCAT scores are at least somewhat correlated with low Step scores, you shouldn’t count on a competitive specialty just yet. Set your sights on getting into med school—DO or MD—first.

I should stay in my lane and not stalk, but my curiosity is getting the better of me…why so many similar WAMC posts with different MCATs?
