Depends on what "new" is; if it's something you alluded to doing in your activities statements then don't include it, but if it's something not completely mentioned you can. Generally updates don't significantly shift your odds but they can help on the margins.I hope that everyone is easing into the upcoming holiday season.
I am lucky enough to hold an acceptance to a strong, mission-driven, and in-state school with a solid match list. Further, I have had 2 other in-state interviews to great schools, and I am hopeful (based on mission-fit/stats/interview XP).
Besides these IS opportunities, it has been radio silence from ~20 schools. Should I be writing pre-II update letters about some new clinical and community experiences to OOS/private schools (nothing insane but cool stuff nonetheless)? Will this change the viewing of my application or affect my odds in any way? It feels strange to be doing nothing considering the incessant writing/interview-prepping/worrying of the past few months.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
