*Note: I go to a rigorous school and came in with no study skills, hence my low GPA. I have an upwards trend and am now on dean's list and am hoping to continue this.

How did you get this list? The two in-states (UNC, ECU) make sense and are your best shots if you meet mission fit. There is also HPU, but they don't require the DAT (FWIW), but read our threads on how members have reacted to their applicant experience.

Why aren't you including LECOM? I see ASDOH and Midwestern so I suppose you just want to move to Arizona. Check OOS stats for MUSC; if you grew up in Charlotte or Fayetteville (near border) maybe??? I thought UIC, Tennessee, and UConn were very in-state focused; confirm in the DSE, but explain why them because your GPA might get you screened out as an OOS applicant. High DAT does not compensate for low GPA.

I was looking at schools that have lower average accepted GPAs. I grew up and have family in Arizona hence the Arizona schools. What about LECOM do you particularly like/why do you recommend it?

Others may disagree, so don't just take my suggestion. I think they tend to take lower GPAs because they have a large class size, similar to the Arizona schools. Since they are more East Coast (Florida mostly with a clinic in Pennsylvania), that's a better geographical stretch than going out to Arizona.
