Yes, in M4 you should do a sub-I at one of the programs in which you are interested. Although your school won’t have a reputation yet, program directors will know it is a US MD school.I am probably going to enroll at Roseman College of Medicine, which just opened in February 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.
My dream is to match in MA (my second home). I am interested in UMass, Tufts, Cambridge Health Alliance, Mt. Auburn, and Lahey (likely for IM primary care).
Residency PDs in MA will likely not know what Roseman is. I figure PDs in Nevada and maybe some SoCal community hospital PDs will know about Roseman in about 3 years (maybe 1 year for Nevada), but CA and NV are my second and third choices if I had to pick. There’s apparently a Roseman staff member that completed their fellowship at one of the UMass FM satellite sites - unsure if it’d be a good idea to speak with them.
Is my best bet to do audition rotations during M4? I’ve been told the match is very much “who you know” and less so “what you know” so I’m worried about networking because I’m not great at that. Any insight and advice is appreciated. Thank you!
