You’re perfectly fine, speaking from personal experience! Med schools know the unique pathway of Berkeley/Brown/other schools that only have one semester of Gen chem.

Welcome to SDN, @Ozykuna
I put your 2 questions about this same topic in the same question thread, because it's not going to get you more answers by posting lots of single-question topics.
Take a little time to get used to the site.

Look at some of the threads that include many answers to questions like this already, like this one: Official AMCAS questions thread
This application cycle will last up to 12 months, letting yourself get panicky before your application even reaches your schools will be really rough on you.

You didn't have to email all the schools on your list. Of course, we don't have your list.

All your West Coast schools will be familiar with the UC Berkeley sequence. The rest of us can look it up or already have notes from their prehealth advising team. You aren't the first-ever Berkeley applicant to medical school.

Hopefully you had a chance to see if admissions recruiters know about this from any recruitment events you have attended before applying.

For most schools, you don’t have to complete every single requirement before applying, as long as you finish them before beginning med school. Worst case scenario, you pick up another chem course (online self-paced is okay).

Thank you all for the replies, this is really helpful. Would it be okay to call schools to ask, in addition to the email I sent? I don't want to bother schools, but I also want to have my list formalized by June 27, and I'm not sure how long they take to reply.
Do not call the schools. Whoever is answering the phone probably doesn't know the answer to this question, and you want to save any phone calls to a school for something more important later on.

You should be able to mark gen chem II as "in progress," "taking," or "future enrollment" in the secondary application. You have until their deadline (which is usually around the time of matriculation to the school) to complete pre-requisites.

Current applicant for the 2025-2026 cycle. I realized that I am missing a Gen Chem II requirement for some schools. If I decide to sign up for a course at a community college, how can I let schools know that I have signed up to take it? Will I be screened out for not having this prereq (only missing one) or will they just ask me to take it upon acceptance?
I have merged your threads. Please see wysdoc's post above regarding common questions.
