I just took NBME 11 and got a 158. I'm just devastated. It's so difficult to even ask for help right now, but I really need advice. I think I need to get better content understanding. I've done 1/2 DIT so far, and 30% of uworld, but I can't review uworld fast enough so I'm behind in reviewing a couple of tests. I know that I just don't have a strong enough background to get enough uworld right, and not have to review multiple FA pages for one incorrect answer, but I'm afraid to delay doing Uworld questions in case I don't finish.

I was planning on doing DIT in the morning and review Uworld in the evening, with One pathoma section and 1 FA section from brosencephalons anki cards (I can't just read FA, it's difficult and hard for me to memorize facts)

I didn't know how I should be studying, you guys probably know better. Any advise on how I should be scheduling the next few weeks so I can at least pass would be appreciated. Right now i'm just too crushed, and discouraged to even know where to begin.

**I thought I spent a good solid 2 weeks on cardio/pulm doing pathoma, and FA but I guess that did nothing 🙁

When you finish your pathoma, DIT or FA section do you review it? I make flash cards of the stuff I don't think I know while I'm going through and then at the end of the day I go through them to make sure I actually learned something. It has helped a lot because it's all related info that i'm compartmentalizing in my head. The problem with Uworld is that it's so all over the place, I find it harder to remember.

I see microbiology is one of your lowest scores. I would try and improve that by doing usmle simple. I had the same problem and they are really good. Definitely worth it!

You're selling usmlesimple pretty hard. Has anyone else used it? How long would you say it takes to complete totally?

I just read thru my DIT notes each time. I have anki cards made for pathoma and first but I hadn't consistently used them each day. I'll try to do that now

I talked to my dean and found out delaying fouth year has a lot of bad consequences so at the most I can delay my test another 2 weeks. I have had a difficult time with physio, do you think I should be using my costanzo book, or is that overkill for the time I have left. I don't know how I can improve my understanding of the subject here...

Delaying fourth (not third?) year definitely will have consequences, but I can't imagine they are worse than failing the boards. If I were in your position I would change my date to the last possible date and keep hammering away. I'm not familiar with the costanzo book, but if you feel like you don't understand physiology it might be a place to start. Do you feel like DIT is helping you? I think you need to focus on getting through the material and make sure you are actually learning it. Did you look at which questions you got wrong on the NBME? Did you get things wrong that you've covered recently or did you really only get stuff wrong that you haven't studied yet?

DIT does help since i've never gone though FA completely before, but after 2 weeks of using it religiously and doing uworld, my score went up by only 6 points, so maybe it hasn't been as helpful as I thought? Costanzo = BRS physio book. Hopefully I have time to squeeze some reads and questions from it.

Most of the time, if I miss a question on usworld or was covered in DIT, I would get it right the next time I saw it. There have been multiple times tho that I have missed a question from a topic I had covered in the last 2 weeks. Those go in a notepad so I can review them again later. I know everything in my notepad, but it doesn't have too much stuff it in so I don't overwhlem myself with facts ~100 facts in there right now?

Thanks, I've started to feel less crushed and you've helped to realize I really need to review all my things everyday, no excuses!

You should definitely watch the Pathoma videos and follow it with the text in order to improve the path section. Use anki cards after going over the chapter. Do another NBME after going through all of Pathoma, FA, and Uworld. For Physio try BRS, if you don't like it, then maybe try Kaplan physio (and the videos). I use kaplan and I think their physio section is pretty solid. I'm positive you will notice an improvement. Don't lose hope and keep at it.

This is an awful idea. Too many weaknesses to spend time on a non-proven resource. Stick with UW for micro for now and get all that you can out of it.

Stop doing DIT.
Watch Pathoma, read BRS physio, get the Kaplan pharm lectures from google.

Path and phys - huge portions of the test. Stop DIT. Prioritize Pathoma & BRS Phys. You should be able to get through both in a week and a half or so, while doing subject-specific questions. Then take another NBME and see where you're at.

Do not schedule exam and focus on UW,FA and Pathoma for 4 weeks. You may use BRS physio/Goljan patho and kaplan notes for just reference.

Daily spend time on atleast 150qs and focus on reviewing above material with nice time table as per your convenience.

Be honest with your time table and prepare well and take NBME 15 or 17 after 3-4 weeks and then decide based on your performance. Let us know your target score (goal). Thanks

Seriously, stop making accounts trying to promote your product. You're really making anybody who might even be interested in from ever purchasing it just because of how annoying you are.

As for OP, I'd agree that you should ditch DIT, you really need to have at least some what of a decent base for it to be useful.
