HI...

I am a pre-dent student
and going to take DAT soon
and will apply upcoming cycle

and I am just looking through here..

and there are terms I dont know

so..

what the hell is
1st batch
2nd batch
secondary (I guess it means secondary suppliment..may be not..?)

and the admission process is
You apply -> School look at your application -> if they like you, interview you -> request secondary suppliment (???) -> accept you or deny you

is that right???
i am so lost..

Batch numbers are made-up designations of each week that AADSAS sends applications to schools. This occurs every Friday beginning from whatever week AADSAS opens their applications to students.

If AADSAS opens the first week of June, then that week's completed applications, more specifically the applications completed before the Friday of that week, is called batch 1. The next week's is called batch 2 then the third week's applications is called batch 3, etc.

If you completed your application during the 6th week (before 6th week's Friday) after AADSAS's opening then your application is in the 6th batch.

Your status should go from "Application Incomplete" to "Application Received" to "Received/Under Review" to "Invited for Interview" to "Check back on ***" to "Offer Made" or "Application Denied" and finally to "Offer Accepted".

They send you a secondary before interviewing you. Whether or not you get a secondary depends on the school. Some schools just screen for applicants that meet the minimum requirements or only send secondary applications to those who they really like.
