1st batch question

I was in the 1st batch of applications sent out. My question is if I haven't been invited to interview with a school that has already been sending out invitations can I just count that school out? I didn't know if they go through applications as they come in and say yes or no...or if there are maybe's and they go back to those periodically to fill interview slots?

depend on the school, NOVA rejects right out the barn, no buts, maybes or whatever; NYU just interviews you or strings you along till they fill the seats, like an unhealthy relationship...

This is true, I still haven't been rejected from NYU from last application cycle. I like to think I still have a chance
