1st year loyola med booklist

Hey guys,

I just received some info from stritch about the upcoming year. They say that the M2s are going to have a book sale for us 1st years "early in the year." However, the mailing also included a complete book list for every class. I have a few questions for m2,m3, and m4s:

1) Do you guys know when the book sale is going to be? Should I buy some books now on amazon or wait until the book sale?

2) Do you even use the books to study, or is it all based on notes. I know I never opened my books in Loyola undergrad, I did just fine studying from notes. Is the MBCG book necessary?

Don't buy any of the books yet, there was a booksale last year at the beginning of the year and also massive amounts of emails with people trying to sell books. Some people use the books, some don't, it just depends on your style of learning, but if you choose to use only the notes, they are adequate and you will be just fine if you are anti-textbook.
