Hi, I am just going over my transcript and I am curious how bad my situation is. I got 50% in 1st year chem (full year course) and then 62% the second time around. In physics i also got a 50% in the full year course. I got 60 in Calculus. however this was my 1st year and I did horrible for many reasons that I don't want to go into here. My marks are great now with 80's but I find that since I took all those pre-req courses and got a bad mark what I should do now. How many 'bad marks' have ppl had on this site.... am I the only one with horrible 1st year marks, has anyone got accepted with them or have you had to re-take them? What options are there?

Thanks

your school goes by percentages? I thought most schools go by A,B,C,D,F and then 0 to 4.0 (or 4.3) GPA scale. Would a 50% constitute as a failing grade? are any of the classes curved? clarify a bit please

I get a mark and a letter grade. For example 50= D-. Also at my school if i get a 73 or 74 it gets rounded to 72% which is a B-. I have not failed anything yet, but i often find myself getting class averge mark or slightly above even if I try very hard. for orgo the class average was 45% but i ended with a 60% so that made me happy, but still when I see all the marks and GPA breakdown these marks seem extremely horrible...

50% is a D-?....sounds fun

50=D-
72=B-
84=A-?

thats a pretty awesome school
