1st year temple students

I wanted to get a idea of how the class schedule is like for 1st year temple students. What times do classes start and what time do they end? I also wanted to see how the commute is if someone doesnt want to live in the city. I was looking at this town called Norristown which is approx 18 miles away. Would that commute be really bad? Any input on this will be extremely helpful. Thanks!

1st semester freshman year at Temple is a joke.....trust me, its an easy transition.....3 days a week, you finish school at 11:30am!! And plus, the biggest class you have is Biochemistry and honestly its not necessary to goto lecture because everything comes straight from the insane amount of notes he gives out.

It gets progressively harder by semester until the spring semester of sophmore year where all hell breaks loose.

The entire school is pretty convinced that Hahn lives in the basement of the dental school and actually doesnt own a home. Its also rumoured that he makes extra income on the side by selling crack to homeless boys down at Penn's campus.

Oh yah, why dont one of you email Hahn and ask him how he's doing in his hockey pool.....ahahahahha.

think the letter said we had to dress professional the first day becuase of pictures but to bring another set of clothes to party in right after we finish up... double check me on that tho...

Here is the tentative schedule for orientation. On Thursday, its all introductions, policy, blah blah blah blah. Then there is a dinner at night down in the school lobby, followed by a party at Summit Park.

On Friday, you get your kits in the morning and sophmores/juniors will help everyone figure out what is what, organize it all and put everything away in your new lockers. Then at around 11am, orientation is formally finished and traditionally the day is done and everyone just goes home....but thats no fun.

So, the tentative plan for now is that ASDA is gonna give you guys a pool party/BBQ from 1pm-4pm with NO FACULTY....the goal is to get you guys relaxed and have some real fun to get to know everyone.

However, Im still in the planning stage for this, but it seems like everyone is giving it the go and it looks like its gonna happen!

yah I'd wear a shirt and tie to the two days of orientation. They're gonna try and scare you and say that you have to dress professional from now on whenever you're in teh building, and Ill admit, I did fall for it....however, after 2 days of wearing nice clothes in a dirty lecture hall, I and my class gave up on that idea and went back to wearing bathing shorts and sandals. Its the only way to go.
