Bio: I felt this portion was pretty tricky. Nothing like the kaplan exams i took. A lot of the questions did not seem straight foward. I think i had a question asking for an intermeddiate of glycolysis...i wasnt ready for that one.

Chem: The chem section was way easier than any of the full lengths i was taking. i was averaging like 16's on the practice tests. People said most of the questions were conceptual....i think about half were calculations but most calculations were short and a lot were already set up in the answer so you didnt hafta calculate them out.

O Chem: As you can see i did pretty good in O chem. I also thought the O chem portion was easier than any of the Kaplan or Top Score tests. This portion was very similar to the ADA sample exam. The reactions were general....know all about oxidations and reductions...Sn1/Sn2/E1/E2. I had no NMR questions...and only one IR question.

PAT: I was averaging 20 on the full lengths. Dropped 2 pts on the real thing. I thought the keyhole, top-front-end, and angle ranking were a little harder than kaplans. Also, hole punching section had some weird folds. Pattern folding and cubecounting were similar to kaplan. CAUTION: keep an eye on the time!!!

RC: Harder than topscore. On top score the answers were word for word straight from the passage. Id say the real thing was similar to Kaplan

QR: Similar to Kaplan. I had like three trig problems. I didnt get any permutations or combinations. I got mostly word problems on my test. Just keep practicing on those practice tests so you can get faster because time is precious for this section.

I started studying two months ago. Just finished the Kaplan course last weekend. For the first 5 weeks i went over all the topical tests kaplan had to offer. Rather than reading their review book from front to back, i referred back to the book when i was reveiwing over the topicals. For the last three weeks, i took the kaplan midterm. I also took kaplans three full lengths, three top score exams and kaplans final. For the people that would like to see
my practice test scores...

great job! awesome OC and GC scores you must have studied your @$$ off!

Very impressive. Seems like organic is a piece of cake on the actual DAT..GC also. Looking forward to that... 🙂

Great scores!!! I somehow cannot get OC into my head.. I find it sooo tough. I used to think GC was tough.. but now that seems a lot easy. I also would like to know where do we get the sample ada papers???
Good luck
