hello everyone.

i have signed up to take the mcat at july 30th. i have started my princeton class already a month ago. i am doing all of the problems in the workbooks they have been giving me. i am slowly learning even though verbal is my hardest subject. anyone know if i can increase my MCAT score. my diagnostic was a 17. i really want to improve in the next two months to double my score.

i would hope someone can answer my questions. i have been following examkrakers strategy for verbal and it is working out ok. i was wondering what is the best way to prepare for the verbal? i have two months but looking over my answer choices thoroughly helps only a little. for biology and physical sciences, are the hyperlearning books just good enough or do i need any extra information from other books...berkeley and kaplan and etc.

thanks for your help. can someone help me create a 2 month study plan as to what i should do in regards to fully grasping the information?

I have a question. I have approx two months to go before my MCAT on Aug 5. I took the MCAT last summer so this is my second time going thru everything again.

There is also this clinical research opportunity this summer. I was wondering if it was a good idea to do that. Because I feel like I will have enough time to study and I've never done a research project. I'm sure it'll help me out when applying. My parents are saying that it's probably a bad idea tho.

Has anyone done research and successfully studied for the MCAT. Do you think it's a good idea or to just completely immerse yourself in only the MCATs? I know it depends on me but I just wanted to hear other experiences. Thanks!

OP, i was in the same boat as you before my mcat and was surprised at the lack of "study plans" available on SDN. I took the MCAT on may 21 and thought i was adequately prepared. here is what i did, and it seemed to work for me.

first i purchased all the old LSAT tests as the verbal is written by the same people who write the MCAT verbal. i took one of these every day/every other day (they only take about 35 minutes each). Then i took a week to go through each of the subject books i had (from kaplan). This left me with about a month left. I then started going through the flash cards and doing the subject tests available online through kaplan. i would go through the answers and explanations to these as in-depth as possible, which was a good brush up on all the topics. then the week before/10 days before i took an AMC test each day. the day before i just relaxed and got ready. i thought this strategy worked very very well for me, although i was studying 5-7 hours a day.

im not familiar with the resources you have for studying but i assume its something similar.

good luck!
