2 q's: AADSAS printout mailed?? and mistake on application

Hey guys,

I've got two q's:

I submited my application online on June 14th. Now it has been almost a whole month and my application is still not sent out to the designated schools?!? I called ADEA today and was told that it should be mailed out soon...I've noticed a bunch of ppl on here have theirs already mailed out? What's going on?

Secondly, I made a mistake on my application and need to fix it, I emailed AADSAS three weeks ago and no response. Today over the phone I was told by ADEA that I had to contact each individual school and send them a letter with my correction and stuff...what kind of letter are we talking about here? Has anyone else had to do this? And is it a big deal if you made a mistake? I put that I was published at my internship, but I didn't get published, instead I was only acknowledged, and I need to make that correction before its too late..

Hey,

I have a mistake too. I answered a question on the application but accidentally put my answer in a different box to another question. I know AADSAS won't fix it, so I am sending each school a letter explaining the error just like you are. I don't think it has to be too long or detailed...just apologize for the mistake and correct it. I think the schools will understand and appreciate that you didn't just let the whole mistake slide without informing them. just make sure you put your AADSAS application ID # on your letter so it will be filed with your application and I think you and I will be good.

oh, and I am waiting until I see that the printout was mailed to the schools before I send them my letter, no need telling them about a correction a month before my application shows up.

I have a question similar to this topic as well, and I would appreciate anyone's advice. When filling out the AADSAS I wrote down the wrong days for three of my job shadowing experience. I didnt realize that I made the mistake until after submitting the app. I wouldn't be too worried except at Ohio State the dentists you shadowed also send in a confirmation form. Thus, the two dates would be different in all three cases, my mistake. Should I write a letter to all schools that I applied, just OSU, or none?

i'm not exactly an authority on this topic, but i would say u should just give OSU a call and see what they say, and maybe call one other school you are applying to...then i guess take it from there.

Just drop them a letter stating that you incorrectly listed the dates on the shadowing form, and give them the correct dates.
