You need to either finish your tax returns, or provide estimates. If you provide estimates you will need to submit a correction form. A correction form is a huge pain to process, and will be a huge headache for you. I would file your tax returns first.

I don't think so. The correction form merely requires you to log back onto the website, go to the same form you already filled out, change the numbers to what they should be, then submit it.

It takes all of 3 minutes from start to finish.

I'd submit and then do a correction later.

I just finished doing my renewal fafsa, but at the end it's telling me that I have to make sure that everything is correct before I submit all information. Otherwise I can get in big trouble. However, a lot of my tax informations are approximations since I haven't filed for taxes yet. Should I still send it in and do all necessary corrections later? I don't want to get in trouble because I need all the money that I can get. Thanks for your help.

I think personally I will wait until i get all of my W2's since employers are supposed to send W-2s to their employees by January 31. However, I have already gotten my PIN.
