Hello guys, my test is next Friday and i needed some advice. i took the 2007 ada test today and i am planning on taking exam 5 of bootcamp sunday and ADA 2009 exam on monday. so on my exam today i got

Bio 16 (24/40)
GC 21 (27/30)
OC 19 (23/30)
PAT 28 (88/90)

First of all i was curious about the bio section, i am not sure how to improve but i think i am going to go hardcore between now and friday and memorize everything. i am mainly memorizing feralis notes and making note cards. i would postpone but the next test date is 2 months from now 🙁. any suggestions?anyone that has taken the 07 test and the real thing can compare? thanks guys.

Edit: also the PAT on there was very very simple, is the real thing similar?

Those are great scores (especially the PAT)! I felt that the 2007 DAT is definitely representative of the real exam (some tend to feel the PAT is a bit easier on the 2007, but I personally found it more difficult). One thing to consider is not to let a single practice test throw you; yes, this may have been an old DAT, but at the same time there are many different versions floating around today. I was deeply concerned because I took the 2009 DAT a week before my exam and I scored a 19 in RC and a 19 in QR. This was significantly below my average for my Bootcamp/Genius practice tests (I averaged 21 and 22 for RC and QR respectively). On the real DAT I managed to score a 22 in RC and a 25 in QR. Continue to studying the bio this week and I'm sure it will go well next week! Some versions of the DAT will be on par with the 2007 PAT, while others might be a bit more difficult.

Do you have access to Q Vault for Biology? I was worried about a week out from my test and I bought the Q Vault bio tests to try to improve my biology. I felt the questions were similar to the ones on the real DAT, plus I feel for biology that the more problems you solve, the better prepared you will be and feel (Q Vault has 400 biology problems). Going over Feralis notes and making flash cards will certainly help reinforce the material, but I personally believe doing more practice questions could prove to be more beneficial as long as you throughly review the solutions and why you may have made the mistakes you did. I also made note cards for every question I guessed correctly or answered incorrectly from my practice tests and DAT Destroyer which helped strengthen my weak spots in biology. I hope this helps and I know you will do excellent on the DAT next week! Good luck with your last week of studying!

Thank you very very much! that was helpful!

The angles on the PAT for the 2007 DAT killed me. The actual was easier in that regard but overall harder than the 2007.

As for the 2009 be aware that the reading and math was significantly harder than the actual DAT in my opinion.

The BIO score obviously needs to be looked at. You just need to cram at this point unless you want to delay the DAT. Unfortunately BIO is important. But if there is any section where you can cram memorization in that's it.

2007 DAT is much more simplistic than anything you'd encounter today. PAT is the section that is the most dissimilar to the current DAT.
