I think by now most people are finished with interviews or close to it. I am wondering how this year compares with previous years as far as number of candidates and competitiveness. My feeling is that this is going to be a huge year for radiology (100% filled, high US grad %) Most people I talked to on the interview trail also seemed to report higher than average numbers of people applying to radiology from there school. I feel that I had enough interviews to match, but I'm wondering how high or low I will match. If you talk to most residents they will say that their year was huge too so maybe it's all hype. If anyone has some insite I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I was on the interview and ROL team this year and last and I can state unequivocally that this year's applicants were far better than last year's. N=1. Take it for what it's worth.

Maybe because you're telling everyone (and their mother) to go into Rads these days bro!

In all honesty though, Rads is a GREAT field. I see no reason why the applicant pool should ever dip in terms of quality.

Best of luck to everyone waiting for match day!
