Hi, I will be taking my DAT this upcoming summer. I was just wondering, should I wait to buy the 2012 KBB in May, or should i just buy the regular seventh edition, and start reviewing from now? I realized they will be enhancing their sections, since they skipped a year production.

This is just my $0.02 but I didn't like the Kaplan Blue Book. I think there are much better resources to use. The only benefit I got from KBB was that it kind of served as an intro to the subjects and time allotted for each subject. The consensus on the forums is that Chad's is hands down awesome for GC and OC. CDP for PAT. Math Destroyer for RC. DAT Destroyer for GC/OC. AP Bio is good for the Bio section. You can try Khan's Academy video lectures, Exam Krackers, and Audio Osmosis are all good.

Not to be rude, but Math Destroyer for QR not RC

7th edition or 12th edition won't be different at all except the cover that says "7th" vs. "12th" so if you want one, 7th edition is fine. But even if you don't have one, you're not missing much.

Oops my bad! Definitely meant Math Destroyer for QR. Thanks!

I liked kaplansbb, and i used it as a primary to study out of. However, i also had the mcat kaplan, as well as kaplans white book used for their dat course. I got all of these as handmedowns, and i read them all. TBH they were riddled with errors, but i compiled them all into a handwritten binder study guide, and would use wiki/google to add in where i was lacking knowledge.
