I do not understand this question, not sure if there is a typo in the original question. I tried to email orgoman, have not received a response yet. Please help:

A survey was taken of 180 people. Each was asked to choose their one favorite type of music. Two thirds of the respondents chose classical music and one third of those remaining chose jazz. How many of the people surveyed chose neither classical music nor jazz?

A. 15
B. 20
C. 25
D. 35
E. 40

Answer: E
Of the 60 people who prefer jazz or pop, two thirds, or 40, prefer pop.

2/3rds choose classical music

120/180

1/3 of those left (60) chose jazz, so 1/3(60)=20.
140 chose classical/jazz, leaving 40 for neither.

If your answer key mentions pop, it's probably erroneous.
