Happy New Year everyone! I want to hear what Allo is resolving to do in the next 365 days.

My checklist for 2015:
-Get 10+ points higher than Step 1 on Step 2CK
-Finish a current research project that has been dragging out
-Upload 6 videos to youtube
-Increase savings fund balance by 50%
-Actually remember these resolutions by 12/31/15

Yeah, yeah I'd like to exercise more, eat better, love more, and be more awesome but those goals are so nebulous that I can weasel my way out of them.

Did you mean to post this here?

😉

Go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. I've become even more of a night owl since starting med school.

Lose weight before I get married.

I want to be able to do a handstand.

Try to retain information for longer than one test/continue to do Anki after an exam. So far I think I have forgotten almost everything I've learned in the past six months.

Two publications.

Play more video games. Watch more Netflix.

Married, unmarried - what's the difference these days?

-Finish 3rd year
-Get engaged in Texas
-Away ER 4th year rotations
-Get some LORs
-Residency Application
-Tough Mudder
-Spartan Race
-Do more Archery
-Get more time off

Try to finish queues on Netflix and backlog of video games.

Try to eat more sweets.

No resolutions. I set goals independent of some fixed, socially accepted date. If I have a goal I'm passionate about, I start ASAP.

Goals right now:
- get published
- 3 plate bench/4 plate squat/5 plate deadlift
- cut down to 180 lbs
- get Honors on family med, peds, and IM
- rock Step 2 CS/CK
- rock my interviews for diagnostic radiology + interventional radiology

1) Wrap up all outstanding PhD manuscripts.

2) Go beast-mode on Step 2

3) Find an elusive, inpatient med-peds away

4) Get my school to approve clinical trial work as my research rotation

5) Finish graduation requirements by March of next year so I can go to Africa for a few months pre-residency

I usually find New Years resolutions to be complete bull**** but this year I have decided to read more. Concrete goal of 24 books in the next 12 months.

Maaayyybbee try and put more effort into my dating life because there is a legit chance that I might die alone.

-Finish publishing the rest of my junk from years ago.
-Get caught up in FC on all biochem and anatomy
-Start dunking again

I guess those are just resolutions for through the end of August. Then we'll see what next fall holds 😎

get more sleep.
exercise and eat better.
study more, and do better than just passing

Learn to discipline myself enough to stick to my resolutions.

Right after I've become disciplined enough to make any resolutions.

Ah, the paradox.
