Hi all,

So now that applications are opened I just wanted to get some feedback from those of you who went through this crazy stressful time we're going through!
I haven't taken the GRE yet, I plan on taking it within a few weeks (I've been scoring around 149-150 on practice exams and I still have a few weeks of studying to go.
My Stats so fare are:
Major: Kinesiology: Neuromuscular Science
cGPA: 3.5
PreReq: 3.52
Last 60 units: 3.75
Extra Curriculars: Founded Pre-PT club, Special olympics, hospice volunteer coordinator, president of a cultural club in Community college, Biomechanics Lab assistant for about a year, medical volunteer at afew marathons, and i work with disabled children and adults with wellness and exercise. I've also done 3 research projects with a poster and presented them.
PT Hours - 135 Inpatient Nursing Home 150 - Inpatient Hospital 130 - Orthopedics and Aquatics - 80 Pediatrics - Currently working as an aide in an ortho clinic.
If I were to hypothetically score a 150-150 on the GRE my schools i'm applying to are the following:
Asuza Pacific
Chapman
CSUN
CSUS
CSUF
MSMU
Pacific U
SMU
Touro University
West Coast

Any advice? Any I don't stand a chance in getting into or should I add more schools you guys think I have a shot of getting into? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and good luck to my fellow applicants!

I don't know anything about those specific schools but overall your application looks solid. My advice to you would be #1 make sure to find some strong recommendation letters #2 Get your application in as early as possible especially if any of these schools are rolling admission (I screwed that one up last year...whoops) and #3 Do whatever you have to do to get that 300 total on the GRE, it seems to be the magic number at a lot of schools! Study your butt off for the next few weeks. I think the general consensus around here is that trying to memorize a million vocab words isn't the best use of your time so try to focus on another problem area you might have. Also you can find a long list of the essay prompts for the writing portion on the GRE website so check that out if you want practice or even just read through all the possible prompts. A 4.0 is a great score to shoot for in this category. Let me know if you have any more questions, I've done this process once already so I know its a doozy 🙂

P.S If you want to check out lots of stat comparisons check out the GPA/GRE sticky thread near the top of this forum! Someone has also been kind enough to make a list of common questions as well so that's a great place to go.
