So who else is completely stoked about the new cyro-EM technology?

Cyro-electron microscopy has already been used to map out the Zika virus, Salmonella's "injection needle", and circadian rhythm molecular structures (see link to Scientific American). It's impressive to see how far science technology has come in the past 50 years and to be part of the current and future applications as medical practitioners.

Back when I was in UG, I took an EM course in my senior year. An RCA G score that used vacuum tubes (look these up if you an unfamiliar). Damn thing would blow its filament out every 30 runs. I still have nightmares about it.
