Hello everyone. I am currently working on my application and am taking my MCAT June 28th. My question is what do I do to get my application verified without it being sent to the schools I want to apply to? Sorry if this is a noob question. This is my first cycle! Any information will be greatly appreciated!

You can just apply to one school on your list when you submit it for verification. If you don’t want to do that either then you can just pick a school that you don’t intend on sending a secondary to (but it would be a waste of $39).

I just don't want them to reject me because I am utilizing reinvention and don't know how they will feel if I apply without an MCAT, you know?

You are seriously overthinking this. No one will care as long as your score is decent.
Okay I think I am not articulating this correctly. What I guess I mean is will they wait to evaluate my application until after I receive my MCAT score? (I should have worded it like that the first time sorry)

Yes they will. Here’s how this works:

Step 1) Each school you apply to receives a verified primary of your application from AMCAS. Once they receive the primary, the school will send you a secondary.

Step 2) The school will provide you with the applicant portal when they send you the secondary. On this portal is a checklist of items you have to complete.

Step 3) Each item on the checklist has to be completed. These are LOR’s, secondary questions, MCAT scores, and secondary fee.

Step 4) Once all the items are complete, you will received a “complete” email automatically. Your application will then be marked for evaluation.

However, it is universally recommended to NOT apply to without an MCAT score. You should add schools to the primary once the MCAT score is known to you.

You should apply to one THROWAWAY school that is either a complete never will be accepted OOS or a very high reach. That way it wont matter what MCAT score is. This school is SOLELY to get AMCAS verified. Do not, repeat, do not apply to any other school until you have your MCAT score

Thank you!!!!
