109 additional US and Canadian graduates this cycle compared to last. 351 fewer IMG applicants than in 2018.

15 fewer AOA program applicants this year compared to last year, but there are a lot less programs in the AOA match this year compared to last year so it’s still more competitive.

US and Canadian graduates (includes current seniors and previous graduates) applied to an average of an additional 8.6 programs compared to the 2018 cycle. IMGs only applied to an average of 1 additional program vs. 2018 cycle.

Programs have an additional 56.3 applications on average this year from US and Canadian graduates, and -123.9 applications from IMG this year compared to last.

I think so as they are all now participating in the acgme match as well, so less seats available in the AOA per program
